The flagship Mitsukoshi Nihombashi Main Store is where the history of Isetan Mitsukoshi began in 1673. A designated cultural property with even a train station named after it, here is where customers will find bespoke international and domestic brands, an art gallery, a theater, dozens of restaurants and bars, and even a rooftop garden. In 2018, the store underwent a striking renewal in collaboration with renowned architecture Kengo Kuma who introduced an all-white contemporary design on the first floor under the unique concept of a “white and shiny forest.”
